Fully Compliant DVS Systems
- Name: From October 2024, all HGV's over 12 tonnes will be required to have a minimum three-star DVS rating or prove a Progressive Safe System. The Direct Vision Standard 'Safe System' includes class V and VI mirrors or cameras, an in-cab monitor, proximity sensors and audio warnings.
DVS Radar Kit
The main purpose of this technology is to detect pedestrians, cyclists,
motorcyclists and other vulnerable road users and to alert the driver if they
move into critical zones around the vehicle. Configurable visual and audible
alerts are received via in-cab monitors and speakers, while external alerts for
reversing and turning can also be added to the system for even greater safety.
